Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Extensions are designed to broaden our compatibility across different bike frames and wheel sizes. You will need an adapter if you have a low mounting point (near axle height) or an oversized tire.

Find your wheel setup below to see which adapter you need:

28-Inch Wheels: If you have a very low mounting point (near axle height), you need an Extension 5 Adapter.

29-Inch Wheels (with 3-inch tires): If you have a low mounting point (near axle height) it requires an Extension 7 Adapter. If you have a higher mounting point, an Extension 5 Adapter is sufficient.

Fat Bikes: If you have a fat bike with large wheels or above 4-inch rear wheel size, you will need either the Extension 5 or Extension 7 Adapter depending on your frame clearance.

32-Inch Wheel:  If you have a low mounting point (near axle height) it requires an Extension 7 Adapter. If you have a higher mounting point, an Extension 5 Adapter is sufficient. However, if you have a big tire size (3-ich tire) you may need the Extension 7 or the Extension 9 Adapter.

36-Inch Wheel: If you have a low mounting point (near axle height) it requires an Extension 9 Adapter. If you have a higher mounting point, an Extension 7 Adapter is sufficient.

Our rack is designed with a wide diameter to natively fit modern bike standards, including 142 mm and 148 mm boost thru-axle hubs found on most new bikes and e-bikes.

However, if you are riding an older or standard bike with a narrower frame spacing (typically 150 to 160 mm), the rack may be too wide. No problem, we have thought about that.

You need the NoBoost Adapter if your frame’s rear dropout spacing (axle width is narrower than modern boost standards), specifically below a certain width threshold of 170 mm.

The NoBoost adapter is made of alloy and includes two security screws. It mounts directly to the rack first, extending its stability and allowing a secure through-mount connection to your frame.
Safety Warning: No. Child seats are strictly prohibited on our bike racks.

While our rack is rated for a maximum weight capacity of up to 45 kg, it is designed solely for cargo and is not approved for transporting people.

We do not allow child seat installations for the following reasons:

- We cannot guarantee the long-term durability or stability of your specific bike frame or its threaded eyelets under the dynamic shifting weight of a passenger.
- Only specific bicycle manufacturers grant clearance for child seats because they have specifically tested their frames and threads to withstand those forces.

For the safety of your child, please only use seats that attach directly to frame types or systems explicitly cleared by your bike manufacturer.

Yes! You can mount the rack via your mudguard, provided you are using a heavy-duty aluminum mudguard.

Because axle mounting points vary widely from bike to bike, our mudguard mounting kit is fully adjustable to fit your frame. The kit features three distinct mounting points to align perfectly.

Includes an assortment of spacers and various screw lengths. This ensures your mounting bolts are long enough to secure the rack, but not so long that they rub against your tire.

To ensure long-term durability and safety, you must use the provided adapters, spacers, and safety locking nuts.

If you aren’t mounting via your mudguards, you can attach the rack directly to your bike frame’s seat using our dedicated Mounting Set.

The kit is thoroughly tested, durable, and engineered for long-lasting stability. Also, clear, step-by-step instructions are included to get you set up quickly. The mounting bars have a maximum reach of 350 mm.

Nevertheless, frame geometry matters! The further away the rack sits from your sear stays (meaning the higher up the mounting bars have to extend), the less stable the overall rack system becomes. From optimal performance, keep the mounting distance as compact as possible.

Always ensure all hardware is fully tightened, and regularly check both the frame-side and rack-side screws before your rides.

Before purchasing, please review our frame compatibility checklist to ensure a perfect and safe fit for your bike or e-bike.

Lower mount: You need at least two mounting points near your rear axle. Ideally an M6 thread facing outside, or at minimum an M5 thread accessible from the outside. If your frame lack eyelets, you can use a quick-release or thru-axle adapter kit.

Upper mount: You will need one of the following setups to secure the top of the rack.

  • Seat stays with threaded eyelets accessible from the outside.

  • A stiff mudguard with integrated rack-mounting capabilities.

  • Seat post or seat stay clamp-on adapters. It may result in slight compromises to overall rack strength and stability compared to direct frame threads.

Wheel & frame specifications:

  • Compatible with wheels from 26-inch up to 29-inch (larger sizes require our extension adapters).

  • Natively fits widths from 135 mm up to 190 mm (narrower traditional frames under standard boost sizing require our NoBoost adapter).

  • Your bicycle must be approved for a maximum total system weight (bike + rider + cargo) of at least 120 kg (ideally 150 kg).

Yes, you absolutely ride with the rack in the rain.

Thanks to its stainless steel composition, the rack is highly resistant to corrosion and will not rust under normal weather conditions.

Anyway, we strongly recommend avoiding prolonged contact with saltwater, sea spray, or salt rain. Over time, harsh salt exposure can break down the protective surface layer of stainless steel and cause minor signs of surface rust.

If your rack is exposed to road salt, simply rinse it with fresh water and wipe it down.

Yes! Sustainability is built directly into our choice of materials. The rack is constructed entirely from stainless steel, which is a premier circular product.

Because stainless steel does not break down or easily rust under normal conditions, the rack has an incredibly long service life. The most sustainable product is one you only have to buy once.

Our rack is engineered with a completely different philosophy: it transforms your existing bicycle into a heavy-duty cargo bike.

Instead of spending thousands of dollars on a dedicated, bulky cargo e-bike, our rack adds heavy cargo capabilities to the bike you already own.

It offers a simple, highly customizable platform that can be adjusted to your exact daily transportation needs.

Nevertheless, keep in mind to only load to your personal capabilities. Please check our user guide to see how to face the different loading scenarios.

You have to load according to your strength, riding abilities, and also adjust your riding to your recurrent loads to keep yourself and others safe on the road.
