Christoph
In the heart of Wedding lies a place that captures the true essence of Berlin: Beste Bar. Its owner, Christoph, describes it as a reflection of the city itself, thanks to its diverse clientele and inclusive atmosphere.
Christoph was not always behind the bar. For decades, he worked as a successful journalist in German television. Today, his pace of life has changed, but his need for efficiency remains the same.
His daily routine reflects the rhythm of Berlin's nightlife. After waking up in the late morning and taking care of administrative tasks, Christoph hops on his bicycle and heads to the bar.
From 4:00 p.m. onwards, the daily routine begins: maintenance, cleaning, and preparing supplies before the first customers arrive in search of a draft beer or a well-crafted cocktail.
For a business owner in Berlin, transportation is a constant challenge. Christoph always questioned the investment required for conventional cargo bikes. For him, it is difficult to justify such a high price for a vehicle that offers neither doors, a roof, nor a proper trunk.
For some time, he tried to meet his transportation needs with a trailer, but the experience was far from ideal in terms of comfort and stability.
Everything changed when he discovered anto's system, thanks to a recommendation from Sandra, who had been part of the former startup team and was putting up stickers in the bar.
What attracted him most was the possibility of transforming his regular bicycle into a large cargo vehicle without sacrificing the agility of a normal bike.
The real test for anto's extendable rack comes on heavy shopping days. Recently, Christoph completed a 30-kilometre journey across the city, travelling from places such as IKEA Tempelhof back to his bar while carrying several boxes of wine glasses.
Thanks to the rack's ability to expand and support large volumes, he was able to transport all the goods safely and far more comfortably than with his previous solutions.
"I think the name anto fits very well, because even an ant can carry enormous loads and transport items that far exceed its own size."

For Christoph, the transition to the name anto makes perfect sense. Like an ant, his bicycle is now capable of carrying loads and volumes far beyond its original dimensions, allowing him to cross Berlin and return home with the satisfaction of a job well done.
In the life of a bar owner, every detail matters. For Christoph, having a cargo system that is powerful, simple, and economical is the perfect solution for keeping Beste Bar running smoothly.
